January 29 -  Prison Ministry  Chaplain Vic Ransom, along with his wife—who is also his administrative assistant—will talk to us about their work at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. 

February 5 - Reflection on the Diocesan Convention by St. Barnabas' delegate to the Convention, Sanjiv Augustine, the alternate delegate, Sharon Jones, and Cindy McLaughlin, member of the Executive Board.

February 12 - Our speaker will be Thomas Barnett, Program Manager with Fairfax County’s Office to Prevent and End Homelessness (OPEH).  He will give a presentation on  the mission and role of the office towards the County’s efforts to end homelessness. . 

February 19 - Dave Larrabee, Director of Operations at the Lamb Center in Fairfax, will speak about its unique mission to the homeless in Fairfax County.  He will also speak about barriers to housing, and how the Lamb Center addresses those barriers.

February 26 - We will watch excerpts of The Homestretch, a documentary which follows three homeless teens as they fight to stay in school, graduate, and create a new life. Each of these smart, ambitious youths will surprise, inspire, and challenge audiences to rethink stereotypes of homelessness While told through a personal perspective, their stories connect with larger issues of poverty, race, juvenile justice, immigration, foster care, and LGBTQ rights.
